What most JAMB candidates don’t know, is that the UTME and Direct Entry (DE) novels are different. That is why we’re writing on the recommended Novel to read for the forthcoming 2020 JAMB UTME & Direct Entry examination.
The JAMB authorities have released the recommended novels for the 2020 UTME/Direct Entry examination.

Using this platform, we’re happy to notify and inform all candidates preparing for the forthcoming 2020 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), and Direct Entry (DE), that the examination board has released the novel they recommend all candidates that will be participating in the exam read.

Candidates sitting for the 2020 UTME/DE examination should note that irrespective of their choice of course of study, they will also be tested on the official JAMB Novel: “Sweet Sixteen” authored by Bolaji Abdullahi for UTME and “The Last Days at Forcados High School” by H. Mohammed for Direct Entry Candidates.

Speaking on this issue, the board through its weekly bulletin, disclosed that all candidates are to pay Five Hundred Naira (₦500) only to obtain the novel.
However, you should note that “Sweet Sixteen” is for UTME candidates only, and it won’t come up in Direct Entry candidate’s questions. Same goes for the “The Last Days at Forcados High School”, it is for only DE candidates, and won’t come up in UTME candidate’s questions.
