Nigerian Universities That Accept Candidates Who Did Not Choose Them in JAMB

As a student in Nigeria, you’ll know that JAMB wields massive power when it comes to giving admission into tertiary institutions. Here’s a List of Nigerian University that admit without JAMB.

Annually, more than 1.8 (One million, eight hundred thousand) candidates sit for the JAMB UTME/DE examination, and less than 400,000 (four hundred thousand) students will be admitted. This means that more than  1.4 million candidates may need to retake the examination next year.

Students in Nigeria can attest to the fact that there are times you will apply to a different school before securing admission into a Nigerian federal/state university, and this is because you didn’t meet the cut-off marks of your first choice academic institution.

Candidates who face the biggest disappointments are those who choose the most sought-after and popular public Universities like Unilag, Lasu, OAU, UI, Uniport, Unical, ABU, UNIBEN, Delsu, etc.

If your JAMB score is not up to your first-choice institution, then you have the opportunity to re-apply for admission into another university you didn’t choose during your JAMB registration.

There are many universities that accept candidates that did not choose them in JAMB.

In this article, I will be sharing with you, list of Federal/state universities and Polytechnics, where students can write POST UTME screening examination and gain admission without choosing them as your school of choice during JAMB (UTME/DE) registration.

This list contains a number of tertiary institutions in Nigeria that admits students who’ve already registered for JAMB and written their post UTME examination even if the candidate didn’t choose the academic institution (University) during the JAMB registration.

Take note that most of the Universities mentioned below allow candidates purchase their admission form and sit for their POST UTME examination and if they pass the examination, they will be granted admission.
